Patch 3.1 is upon us, and so is Dual Spec
Alright, as of this writing, Patch 3.1 has yet to be fully implemented. But when everyone DOES get a load of it, I hope you'll be pleasantly surprised. There are some pretty big changes in this one, and they have nothing to do with my previous posts on class changes.
First of all, we have the much-mentioned Dual Spec System, which will allow you the opportuntity to do exactly what such a name implies. For a fee, you can swtich between two completely different specs at a moment's notice (although you need a Lexicon of Power). This is, of course, going to rock for all you raiders out there. For the rest of us, it has limited applications. But yay for no more Sorry-I'm-a-shadow-priest or I'm-not-a-resto-druid.
Here are a few of the changes that are being made to the still-very-new system:
-
"Characters level 40 and up may now use the dual-spec system.
-
The cost to activate the ability is 1000.
-
The ability no longer requires a Lexicon of Power.
-
Switching specs has a 5-second cast time. It may not be used in combat, or in battlegrounds or arenas.
-
There is no cooldown on switching specs.
Good news for casual players, or those looking to do instances while leveling up! The original text of the posts, and links to the sources, are after the break." Source
I'm be updating soon with more info on the brand-new Gear Planner tool.
