First Boss in Uldar
The first boss of Ulduar is maybe the greatest encounter ever if you're a fan of just blowing things up. Of course the downside to this is that if you have raiders who are completely inept at driving the vehicles introduced in WotLK, you might have a bit of a learning curve to deal with. Otherwise, this guy is in my opinion as close to a loot pi?ata as we'll get for a progression boss since Void Reaver, especially in 10 man mode.When you get ready to begin the trash clear and boss encounter, you'll notice that there are a ton of siege vehicles nearby. Don't panic if you have raiders who have never mastered the art of driving an in-game vehicle because all of the siege vehicles you see are two man machines with each driver/passenger being equally important to your success.
Strategy for the encounter is very simple. You start by running the gauntlet, which involves taking down an army of dwarves and other mobs while destroying Storm Beacons, the towers that they spawn from. During the gauntlet you have a choice to either destroy the “special towers" in the air or leave them up. If you didn't talk to the Lore Keeper of Norgannon at the Expedition Camp, the towers won't be active. If you did, they will be activated and unless destroyed they will cause Flame Leviathan to be engaged in Hard Mode, giving him an extra 50% health and more kill-you-faster power. The reward for taking down the boss in hard mode is better loot, both on 10 and 25 man versions.
After the boss breaks his gate and comes storming in, you get to fight Supremus 2.0. Since the boss is untankable, you'll drive your vehicles away from him whenever you have been targeted, hopefully through the tar patches dropped by the chopper drivers that can be ignited dealing a ton of damage to the boss while slowing him. Again, check out the video for a detailed explanation. Rinse and repeat this procedure until he is at 0%, and congratulate yourself for taking down Ulduar's first boss
