Feral Druid Glyphs
It is surprised that patch 3.0 drops on Tuesday so does the Inscriptions profession including every level 70 getting two major glyphs and three minor glyph slots. So what glyphs will you use?Inscriptions seem to have changed a lot in recent patches and I've had a hard time finding a reliable source. Not all these glyphs are available: anything that requires Inscriptions 375 or higher. But here's what I found for available 3.0 feral glyphs.
Major glyphs:
These are trainable, so any inscriber should be able to make them for you. It'll probably easy to get these for cheap right when 3.0 drops and everyone is leveling.
Glyph of Frenzied Regeneration: Passive bonus to incoming heals while regenerating.
Glyph of Rake: Rake prevents targets from fleeing.
Glyph of Rip: Increases Rip duration by 4 seconds.
Glyph of Shred: Increases damage to stunned and incapacitated targets. Limited use in raids, I imagine.
Glyph of Maul: Maul hits another target? May be bogus; this ID used to be for Swipe, for which the target buff makes more sense.
Minor glyphs
Minor glyphs are discovered randomly, once every 20 hours. They will take a few weeks for these to trickle out, for example, Glyph of the White Bear. Not many specific for Ferals, but some of the other convenience minor glyphs will help us too.
Glyph of Dash: reduce cooldown
Glyph of Challenging Roar: reduce cooldown
That's what I could find on spoiler sites; no doubt information will change when 3.0 officially drops. I'm inclined to take Rip and either Maul or Frenzied Regeneration, depending on what Maul really is.
I considered replacing Glyph of Mangle with Glyph of Rebirth (the major glyph) since I am asked to use rebirth in raids and I can simply renew my mangle, but I am not completely sure at the moment so maybe you guys can give me your feedback on that decision.
And also, Glyph of Rake (Your Rake ability prevents targets from fleeing) does what exactly? Enemies will just not run away from me in fear when their health gets low, or it has something to do with a PvP scenario? Either way, I assume it isn't very helpful in a raid situation.
I love the Minor Rebirth glyph; I just think it's extraordinary. Maybe I'm blowing it completely out of proportion but not having to spend wow gold on reagents will certainly help. The Shred glyph also seems like it will help with DPS, and so will Rip glyph.
The only real complaint for me is the lack of feral minor glyphs or maybe minor glyphs in general. Yes, there is a Challenging Roar glyph, an Aquatic Form glyph, a Dash glyph and that's very good and all, I just was expecting a bit more.
Just about the Glyph system in general, how do you guys feel about unlocking a major glyph slot at level 80?
Level 80:
Major:
Glyph of Rip increases the duration of your Rip ability by 4 seconds.
Glyph of Shred increases the damage dealt by Shred to stunned and incapacitated targets by 20%.
Glyph of Mangle increases the duration of Mangle by 6 seconds.
Minor:
Glyph of Unburdened Rebirth-Your Rebirth spell no longer requires a reagent.
Glyph of Challenging Roar reduces the cooldown of your Challenging Roar ability by 30 seconds.
Glyph of Dash reduces the cooldown of your Dash ability by 20%.
